The Institute Council participated in the National Scientific Conference on the topic “Investment resources for higher education in the context of autonomy”

The national scientific conference on the topic “Investment Resources for Higher Education in the Context of Autonomy” took place successfully in Can Tho on May 12, 2023, organized by the Association of Universities and Colleges. Vietnam College and Can Tho University jointly organized the event.

In the current context, granting autonomy to universities has posed many challenges and opportunities related to investment resources for higher education. The workshop focused on 7 important topics to discuss and learn how to optimize resources in developing higher education:

Topic 1: Mechanism, Policy and Legal Investment for Autonomous Higher Education

In the context of granting autonomy to universities, this topic has focused on perfecting the necessary mechanisms and policies to attract and manage investment resources for higher education. Solutions such as improving the legal system, changing budget allocation methods, and strengthening supervision have been proposed to ensure the sustainable development of the higher education system.

Topic 2: Financial Resources for Independent Higher Education

This topic has focused on enhancing the effectiveness of autonomous financial mechanisms in public higher education institutions. Solutions include improving the management system, decentralizing management, and innovating budget allocation methods to ensure development in the right direction and effectively.

Topic 3: Human Resources for Autonomous Higher Education

This topic has focused on improving the quality of lecturers and administrators in universities through measures such as training, fostering, and preferential policies. Investment in human resources is considered important to ensure the quality of teaching and research.

Topic 4: Idea Resources for Autonomous Higher Education

This topic has focused on developing creative ideas in automating business processes and applying Nano-learning methods in higher education. These ideas can bring efficiency and effectiveness in management and teaching.

Topic 5: Technology Resources for Autonomous Higher Education

This topic has focused on the role of information technology in teaching and learning. Solutions to improve the effectiveness of information technology application in teaching have been discussed to support the learning process.

Topic 6: Strengthening International Cooperation in Higher Education

This topic explored how to improve the effectiveness of international cooperation in higher education. By diversifying areas of cooperation and creating initiative and autonomy in developing international relations, universities can improve the quality of education and training.

Topic 7: Other Related Issues on Autonomy and Innovation

This topic discussed the importance of autonomy in meeting the needs of the digital economy and the challenge of ensuring quality and managing resources. Measures such as creating new academic programs, improving infrastructure and promoting brands have been proposed to attract and maintain student interest.
